NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Good News from ACM Church in Tumut
“It is so good to hear such a good report from a church in a country town. I
asked Trevor to share some thoughts on what brought about the changes. Here
they are.”

I would say a turning point in our church started around November last year.
I ran a six week “Fireproof Marriage” series for our married couple in our
church, this was with a candle light dinner, we had 3 of our unsaved
husbands attend with their wives, that was the first time they step in our
church building.
Then in February this year I decided to run a church camp Friday night and
all day Saturday and home Sunday morning for church.
I baptised 12 people in water that Saturday, it was a great camp.
The last church camp we had was 16 years ago.
The theme the Holy Spirit told me to speak on was “Empowering Your Life”, I
preached 4 sermons during the camp, 1. The God head 2. The Person of the
Holy Spirit 3. The gifts of the Holy Spirit 4. The baptism of the Holy
Spirit.
That last night we had revival in the hearts of the people, teenagers and
many adults received the baptism of the Holy Spirit for the first time and
began to speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance.
I started the prayer line at 9pm and finished praying for people at 10.30pm.
The Spirit of God has put such a unity from then on in our fellowship that
the ripple effect is now reaching our community.
The Lord has put a fire in my heart to believe every time I preach His Word;
I believe for signs & wonders following.
This year, in a community of 7,000 people; one Sunday morning we had 5
decisions for the Lord, which for a small town is amazing, God has been good
to us.
Just Sunday night we had a 16 year old young man give his life to Christ for
the first time.
The community now recognises our Church as a church in the community, this
is something that myself and the previous Pastors always struggled with.
The local authorities have called on me many times, the ambulance service
class me as their chaplain, I’ve spoken to the Mayor and the Counsellors at
one of their meetings, and this year I’ve been asked to share the Christmas
message at Tumut’s carols by candle light. This is the first time our Church
has been asked since it was established in 1980.
Praise God, our fellowship is now been accepted as a Church in our
community.
The last 2 months the local radio station invited me to share 10 min sermons
once a week to our community.
So I give all glory to our Lord Jesus, He is so Faithful.
God bless for now, I hope this letter encourages you and your ministry.
